I just bought my Macbook Pro and I had a Macbook for a few weeks before and I can honestly say it was worth it. The problem is it was worth it in MY opinion. I like to have the best work experience i can get and the Macbook Pro delivers that. Yes it has shortcomings (why does apple refuse to put the “blinken lights” of the NIC :)) but overall it is a very solid and impressive machine.

The Macbook is also very good however I had the black one and while the casing was awesome and its not , like many belief, just a painted black plastic. Somehow the Macbook is just not up there on the Pro level with the feel of the pro.

The Pro is fast, i mean really fast. So is the normal Macbook but this is aimed for all you people waiting and not able to decide wether to buy now or wait for the Core2Duo. I said well I need a machine now and the Core Duo it was. I still think it was well worth it.
