Windows shortcuts to help you (… I always wondered what that funky looking key was for.)
The Windows shortcut list is something that everyone who works with Microsoft Windows should learn by heart, at least SOME shortcuts. I have gathered a few shortcuts but if anyone still knows some more please let me know (the comments section is a good place and I will add them as I can). What follows is a list of keys that work when you press the WINDOWS key ( the key with the windows logo on your keyboard) and the letter in the list together.

- +nothing else = Opening the START Menu
- + D = Minimize all windows and show the Desktop, when used again puts all windows back into place where they were.
- + E = opens the Windows Explorer (NOTE: Not Internet Explorer).
- + F = opens the FIND dialog.
- + L = Locks your Computer. This can also be done by hitting CTRL + ALT+ DEL and then ENTER (Note does not work with Windows 9X and ME)
- + M = Minimize all windows but Dialog Boxes stay open. using the keys again will place all windows back to where they were.
- + R = Shows the START - RUN dialog box.
- + PAUSE = displays the System Properties window.
Once you used some of them, they become quite natural and your work flow might even increase. If you doubt it, think about how fast it is to push a couple of keys to get to where you want to be instead of having to drag your mouse all around the screen, clicking, focusing again and clicking again?
